On an early Saturday morning, we went to Balmoral Beach for a family photography session. Evan decided it would be a great opportunity to be a little difficult. I think parents always stress when their children aren’t behaving according to plan and being very cheeky, but I do enjoy those moments.. you can see the cheekiness in his eyes. Evan was just trying to show that he enjoyed the location so much, all he wanted to do was go into the water. You couldn’t blame him really…it was such a gorgeous day. Towards the end of the photo shoot, he did his Daniel Craig pose coming out of the water…well sort of :)
SARAH & TAINE - September 2011
On an early sunday morning, between nap times, we did a portrait photography session at home. We structured the childrens photography session in two parts:
1. Serious photos suitable for grandparents including some newborn photography
2. Lets have fun and be silly
I love the results of these photos… you can see the fun the family were having.

It was Sarah and Amie’s last few weeks in Australia and they wanted to have some very natural photos taken in Balmoral Beach of the cousins playing together. The girls didn’t mind me walking around taking photos at all and I think most of the time they didn’t even know I was there. It was a great day out for all of us and a perfect setting for a Sydney portrait photography.
Ella was a very proud older sister, showing off her little baby sister Georgia. I like doing a newborn photography shoot in the family home, so that everyone is at ease and more comfortable. Coming to a studio with big lights, large white walls can be quite daunting for children. Instead I enjoy this type of family photography. I got shown Ella’s favourite dolls and even when Georgia had a few mishaps, spare change of clothes were never too far away.
